Charles Haug, Ph.D., CFA, manages stock and bond portfolios for the Haug Family Trust. He specializes in investing in high technology and energy companies. Charles is also co-founder of PhysicianAccess.com,an Internet-based company that provided services to the medical profession to manage physician offices, practices, and patient files with funding from Silicon Valley venture capital. He pioneered the field of multimedia programming while working for IBM and managed a team of programmers in Menlo Park, California, coordinating contractors, IBM, and hardware development in Austin, Texas. The product, the Audio Visual Connection, was named PC Magazine's "Outstanding Product of 1989" and Charles was awarded four patents for this work. Prior to working for IBM, he was President of Helios Software Inc. He was responsible for one of the first computer games to run on the IBM PC Jr. Charles completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1972 and received his CFA designation in September, 2003. He is Secretary and serves on the Fiduciary Committee of the Helen Graham Park Foundation. |
