Janice L. Green, J.D., is Board Certified in Family Law, a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a partner in the family law boutique firm of Farris & Green in Austin, Texas. She served on the Family Law Council of the State Bar of Texas, was President of the Travis County Family Law Advocates and Chair of the Advocacy, Inc. Board of Trustees, among other leadership roles. Her educational roots are a B.A. with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Texas (1971) and a J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law (1975). For over 25 years, Janice has published articles and lectured on a wide-range of family law topics including: representation of the “older” client, collaborative law issues, child support, intellectual property, complex characterization and tracing, ethics, child preferences, hidden assets and liabilities, drafting for unique situations. After a thirty-year, litigation-steeped legal career, Janice shifted her practice to collaborative family law. In her “free” time she designs stained-glass and bonsai, and currently she is completing a nonfiction book on the “gray divorce.” Janice was closely mentored by Mrs. Park during the last decade of Mrs. Park’s life. She serves on the Fiduciary Committee of the Helen Graham Park Foundation.
